Famous Cop Cars
Have you ever thought what happens to the money, when you get a ticket from the police? Well let me show you the ultimate battle between top police cars around the world. Most people think of officers of the early days as men walking their beat while swinging a club. But police have always used vehicles for support functions. After the turn of the century motorized vehicles were included in police fleet. Auto manufactures indentified this market started catering to it by building special vehicles. If we go along with America's love affair with velocity, police cars are fitted with some special - performance high speed engines, which were not offered to the civilians. So it is obvious now, that police always have the fastest cars than the criminals. This market is called as the Law enforcement department.
These vehicles range from squad cars, special use vehicles, police Motorcycles and even police boats. But let's restrain our discussion to police cars only. Now let's name few of them and begin the battle. The first one is Dodge coronet 440 used in U.S. Not only they have the 440 Magnum v8, good for 400 horsepower but they also have the killer feature like squinting headlight that looks means head-on. No doubt they are the one which featured in "Gone in 60 secs" Now the famous, Ford Crown Victoria P71 Interceptor.
They are the most ubiquitous than any other police car we can think of in any era. It is powered by modified version of the ford 4.6 - Litre SOHC V8.They will practically run forever. Around the world we have some of the sexiest cars from Lamborghini in Italy to the plug-ugly Russian Porsche cayenne. But both are surprisingly fast. They have reasonable off road capability. Now that we have talked about looks, FORD MUSTANG (saleen) is one of the best looking cars on the road. It is truly a mean looking Police car. The Lamborghini is used by many countries in different versions. One of the interesting use of this super car is to control traffic by getting attention, sounds crazy but its true. You might be thinking that these car may not be economical because of there power, well take a look at this.

The UK's Lotus EXIGE. The Exige is a lightweight , high performance car that accelerates from 0 to 60 faster than any other typical v8 cars discussed earlier and yet only uses 5 litres/ 100km. Now lets talk about speed. With 730 hp from a twin turbo v12 and a top speed of 225.19mph, the Brabus CLS rocket is currently the worlds fastest legal sedan. But it is also the costliest, $437,575. These new police vehicles are destined for police forces that need to be able to run down autobahn abusers. Now throw half a million dollars and you be the worlds fastest policeman. The Nissan have since finished the Skyline. Japan limits the speed of the cars on its roads. This is not limited at all, so attention bad guys!!!.
The skyline was the japans only supercar, and it made the Impreza's and Lancer's of this country look like toys. So having discussed with all these supercars for cops I would personally go with Germany, with worlds fastest sedan on road.
